Arun Sreekumar is an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of India and recently graduated from the University of East London with an LLM in International Law. With his strong legal, research and analytical skills, Arun oversees the administrative, operational, and financial aspects of Phoenix Lawyers. He is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, managing staff, and implementing strategic plans and also plays a key role in compliance, risk management, and client relations.
Initially, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Mahatma Gandhi University, India, switched his career to law by graduating from the University of Kerala, India and practised law after enrolling with the Bar Council of India. As a lawyer, he gained experience in civil, criminal and family matters, but also developed an interest in undertaking and performing legal research and drafting. He had undertaken a three- month internship with the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI), London and had gained the experience of undertaking challenging legal research tasks in the area of international human rights and accountability.
